FYE Abroad Course Development

First Year Experience Abroad is an opportunity for students to go abroad as first year students, with an all first-year student group. Students will be going abroad during their first spring break at the College of Charleston. Students will be accompanied by Peer Facilitators who will participate in the course to help guide the students through their experience with cultural activities and reflection questions.

FYE Abroad is designed to create a new experience for our first-year students. It is a way for students to gain a more global perspective that can be related to their coursework and extracurricular activities. This program is the last piece of creating an entire first year experience where students have courses and activities specific to them as first-year students.
