2023-2024 First Year Experience Proposals

There are two sets of forms linked below:

  • First Year Seminar Course or Learning Community
  • an already approved FYSE or Learning Community that will be taught again

Electronic copies of proposals must be submitted by Wednesday October 26, 2022. Copies of the first page of the proposal with required signatures should be sent by email to Sarah Owens - owenss@cofc.edu by the same date. NOTE: Any proposals submitted after January 03, 2023 should be emailed to Jen Wright - wrightjj1@cofc.edu.

*In limited cases, adjuncts may teach in FYE as a part of a Learning Community in partnership with a tenured faculty member.

The First Year Experience is calling for new courses related to the theme of Race, Equity and Inclusion (REI) in support of the new degree requirement adopted by the Faculty Senate in October 2021.
