First-Year Experience Exploration

The College of Charleston’s First Year Experience is designed to help students “go further faster.” Our newly developing study abroad programs for first year students are designed to challenge students to further explore a topic related to their FYE course choice. These academic programs will broaden the student's initial experience in a seminar or learning community and allow them to explore an area of strong interest early in their college career.  Ultimately, the programs aim to demonstrate the benefits of study abroad experiential learning and encourage students to make plans early to undertake a more extensive study abroad experience later in their college career.
